Occupy Congress

The Founders’ Party has followed closely and support the 850+ occupations across the United States. We expect many occupations to strengthen as local jurisdictions seek to displace them through the permitting process. This is occurring in Cleveland as this article is being posted.

One question will prove itself germane: Are the persons of this country frustrated enough to demand systemic change? If so, the impending Winter months will test our resolve!

The cold weather and increased difficulty with local permitting will seek to undermine our occupations. If our occupations are to have an impact, we will need to draw upon the resolve shown by our Founding Fathers, and the unrelenting support demonstrated by their families, as they fought to move our nation from an overburdened and unworkable confederacy.

The rally cry across North America should come through an occupation of both Houses in our legislative branch. We call upon you to OCCUPY CONGRESS!

The Founders’ Party stands ready to support those individuals rising from the 99% who are willing to to usher in a new era of governance. Not by replacing the republican democracy devised by a considerate and well-informed First Continental Congress; rather, by a strict adherence to the proposed methods of governance. In short, a return to a truly representative and balanced from of government established by the US Constitution.

Occupants throughout this Country should set their sites upon Congress. Congress, as established by the Constitution, not as it has been implemented within our current politicized aristocracy. The Federalist Papers outlines the many tools available to mobilize and engage our populace.

We simply need to demand our elected officials honor their oaths of office. We need to stop aspirational ballot casting: vote only for those who rise from similar circumstance. We should abstain from voting when there are no candidates who share our circumstance and our values. We can no longer tolerate the polarization of societal issues. We must walk away from the competitive and communal paradigms in favor of a collaborative system; whereby, individuals are recognized for the unique strengths and acknowledged weaknesses.

This blog will lay out a number of options available to empower the Occupations and to facilitate real change within our ailing government. We encourage you to enroll in our news feeds as we take topics raised by the 99% and offer systemic alternatives from the lessons learned across the globe.

Occupy Here. Occupy Congress.
